Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Lomeli Creations LLC (“Compass Audits,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use the Compass Audits mobile app and manager dashboard, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Compass Audits is business software sold to property management organizations. When your organization gives you an account, the organization decides what audits you run and who can see them; we process the data on its behalf. If you have questions about a specific organization's use of the app, contact that organization directly.

Information we collect

  • Account information. Your name, email address, and a securely hashed password, plus the organization and role assigned to your account. Manager accounts also create an organization record.
  • Audit content. The answers you record while running an audit — ratings, selections, and text notes — along with the property and assignment they belong to.
  • Photos. Images you capture with your device camera or attach from your photo library to document a property. These are stored with the audit and may be analyzed by our AI to generate findings (see below).
  • Voice notes. Audio you record with your device microphone to annotate an audit. These are stored and attached to the audit.
  • Device permissions. The app requests camera, photo library, and microphone access only to capture the content above. You can decline or revoke these in your device settings; some capture features won't work without them.
  • Operational data. Basic technical information needed to run the service reliably and securely, such as request logs. The app does not include third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

How we use information

  • To provide the audit service — store your audits and sync them between the mobile app and the dashboard.
  • To generate AI red-flag findings from submitted audits so managers can triage issues.
  • To authenticate you and keep each organization's data separated and secure.
  • To support you and respond to requests, and to maintain and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How information is shared

  • Within your organization. Audits, photos, voice notes, and findings are visible to authorized managers in the same organization. Auditors see their own work; we don't expose one organization's data to another.
  • Service providers (subprocessors). We use Convex to host the backend and store files (including photos and voice notes), and Anthropic to run the AI analysis — submitted audit content and photos are sent to Anthropic's Claude models to generate findings. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the service.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data retention

We retain account and audit data for as long as your organization's account is active, and as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. When an account or organization is closed, we delete or de-identify the associated data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and access to organization data is restricted by role. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Because your account is managed by your organization, the quickest path is usually to ask your organization's manager. You can also contact us at privacy@compassaudits.ai and we will respond consistent with applicable law.

Children

Compass Audits is a workplace tool intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be communicated through the app or to your organization.
